Hire Terms

The terms and conditions are between Lawngames4you and the client (person or organization hiring the products) and by hiring from Lawngames4you the client is agreeing to all the terms and conditions stipulated here. All goods hired are the responsibility of the client until they are returned to Lawngames4you.

Hire period is for up to 4 (four) days. This is to accommodate weddings, birthday parties, corporate events and year end functions on weekends. Games can be collected up to 2 (two) days before the event and returned up to 2 (two) days after the event. Please note Lawngames4you are closed on Sundays. Collection times and return times are between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.

Payment must be made via internet transfer (EFT). No over the counter payments will be accepted. Banking details will be on the invoice. The full amount of the client’s order is payable within 7 (seven) days of the invoice date to secure the booking. If after 7 (seven) days Lawngames4you have not received a payment from the client, items will no longer be held for the client and will be made available to the next interested customer.

A security deposit will be charged per contract / hire item and is subject to the following terms & conditions. The customer accepts that any additional fees charged due to late return / loss or damage, will be deducted from the security deposit. Should the deposit be insufficient to cover additional charges then the customer agrees to pay any balances due. Lawngames4you charge a minimum breakage deposit of R500. This is payable before collection and refunded within a week of the order being returned on time and intact.

LATE RETURNS: A charge equal to 50% of the hire fee (cost of renting any games/items) will accrue for each day late. This amount will be deducted from the Deposit.

It is very important that the client check their items carefully upon collection to ensure everything is included and nothing is broken upon collection. Please disclose, in writing, any problems with the games / items of the order to info@lawngames4you.co.za at this time. A list of what is included in each game set can be found here.

Upon collection the client is fully responsible for the care of all the items and are expected to return them to Lawngames4you in good condition. Prior arrangements can be made by the client to nominate someone to collect the items on behalf of the client. Even though another party (person) is collecting the games, the client is still held responsible for the items.

If an item is lost or returned to Lawngames4you in a condition whereby Lawngames4you cannot hire it out again, the client will be liable for the full replacement cost. The list of replacement cost can be found here.

Games have to be return up to 2 days after your event. Late returns will be considered another hiring term, which will be deducted from the deposit. 

Thus, if your event is on a Saturday, you can collect the games on the Thursday and return the games on the Monday. Please note we are closed over weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays. 

Lawngames4you will accept no responsibility for damage or injury caused to person(s) or product(s) as a result of this hire arrangement. All goods are hired and are the responsibility of the client until they are returned to Lawngames4you.

Failure to collect the hired items will be deemed to be a cancellation on the part of the client and no compensation will be paid.

Please note that the hire fee is non-refundable should the client wish to cancel their booking in part or in full, less than (2) two weeks prior to the event.

Lawngames4you will refund 50% of the rental fee for cancellations made more than 2 (two) weeks prior to the event date.
