Noughts and Crosses, also known as Tic Tac Toe, is played on a 3×3 grid by two players, one using ‘X’ and the other ‘O’.
Players take turns placing their marks in empty squares with the objective of aligning three of their marks consecutively, either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
The game begins with the first player placing an ‘X’, followed by the second player placing an ‘O’, and continues alternately. Once placed, marks cannot be moved or removed.
The game ends when a player achieves three in a row, resulting in a win, or when all nine squares are filled without a winner, resulting in a tie.
